Voluntary Counseling & Testing
One of the critical areas necessary to effectively counter the spread of HIV/Aids is the Voluntary Counseling and Testing service that is geared towards determining a person’s HIV status. This runs simultaneously with providing counseling that is consistent with the result of a test to promote behavioral change. We have begun consultations with the Department of Health at a regional level to provide the necessary framework for operations to take place. We have started offering on-going counseling specifically for this service and the list for people requesting testing continues to grow every week.
