Emthonjeni Home Based Health Care

Caregivers provide ongoing support in the homes of the HIV/Aids infected patients in order to promote and maintain a person’s maximal level of comfort, function and health, including plans towards a responsible and dignified death.

·         Patients receive two visits a week

·         Prayer and counsel

·         Assist with basic chores and child care

·         Caregivers work in teams to bathe the patients, feed them, fetch water and clean their wounds and homes.

·         Monitor the patients health and provide advise

·         Emthonjeni Medical staff goes beyond the walls of the clinic and into patients home when needed.

·         Patients receive donated medication, toiletries, linen, clothing & food
